Plog, Plalk, Plike

What: Plogging is a mash-up of jogging and the Swedish term “plocka upp,” which means "pick up." The idea boils down to picking up litter while you jog. Other variations include “plalking” —walking while picking up litter—and “pliking” (biking and litter cleanup).

When: Week of May 17th-24th

Where: All over Duluth!

How: Pick your favorite place to bike, walk, jog, skateboard, rollerblade, or run and pick up litter along the way! Folks can submit litter reports to win a $75 Zeitgeist gift card

Who: Anyone in the Duluth area is eligible to participate, regardless if their body allows them to roll or stroll

More Information:

Giveaway a $75 gift card & a few smaller items if we have good participation-- 6 'swag bags' from the DTA, with a tote bag, frisbee & drink kozy.

Volunteers will find their own way to dispose of litter, likely at their park/trail or on their own

Ownership of walking and picking up trash, it can be a routine :)

We hope you can join us for this fun day outside as we work together to improve our local watersheds.
